Use Your Emotions In Prayer

Use Your Emotions in Prayer

Everything God created is good and has a purpose. Emotions is one of them. My Pastor always say and I agree that generally; "emotions are very good followers but they are terrible leaders". This is also true in prayers too.

We do not wait to feel like praying before we pray. We pray without ceasing. We pray in season and out of season. But, sometimes we feel like praying (I beg you, please do) or when you already begin to pray, your emotions can help you to pray effectively. Your emotions can even help you indicate the kind of prayer to do.

For example, if you are angry or frustrated, that is when you speak to the situation in prayers the way Jesus spoke to the tree. That is the time you say to the mountain "be move! In the name of Jesus!"

Another example is if you are sad, hurt or disappointed, you go to the Lord as Father and comforter. You come boldly to His throne of Grace, obtain His mercy and receive comfort, strength, grace, instructions and the needed healing and inner strength to keep on.

If you're depressed - stay in pure worship  and pray in tongues till your atmosphere inside and outside lightens up.

And if you are excited; praise. Sing songs. Dance. Jump. Run arround. Share the testimony and so on.

So yes, we DO NOT wait to feel like praying, rather, we start praying and we allow the flow of the Spirit to use all that is within us including our emotions, memory, imaginations, intellect, history and so on to pray effectively.

Happy New Month!
Welcome to November 2022.
Let the doors remain open!
God bless you!
