Paid in full, but, let us hold fast

Paid in Full - but, let us Hold Fast

Speaking of how sins was handled; under the law, the high priest offer sacrifices once every year first for Himself and also for the people.

However, Bible says this method merely appease God by reminding God of the work that will be done in and through Jesus Christ.

It is like when you want to buy/rent a house and there are many other persons indicating interest. So you agree with the owner and say I will pay 10% now, give me till two weeks. The house is not yours yet but he will also not let someone else have it till that appointed time.

Same way, none of the activities or sacrifices made under the law could take away sins until Jesus came.

Then Jesus offered His blood as an atonment for sin for the whole world once and for all. The Father was not merely been appeased but it was the full price, nay, an overpayment.

Now, we, who believe and received the finished work of Christ can now work in the reality of the saving grace.

This grace is available to everyone on the face of the earth. This is in addition to every other thing Jesus died for us to have. (If you have not receive this grace - send me a dm let us pray together).

But, we live in a world where we can easily loose grip of this reality of the gospel. This is because salvation is instant but we do not take full possession of every other promises at once. Hence Bible tells us;

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23 NKJV

We need to impress it in our heart and keep speaking with our mouth. We need to believe in the finished work of Christ and keep confessing it no matter what it is.

We may not have taken possession of everything Jesus died for us to have yet but the agreement has been signed, sealed and delivered. It is in your name. It is all yours. But you must persist in study to know all that is yours and in prayers to take all that is yours.

In addition, there is a guarantee of performance because Bible says "for He who promised is faithful"

God is faithful. If anything goes otherwise, check your grip and hold fast.
